One of the Crosby MBA Association’s (CMBAA) primary focuses each year is on philanthropy. Last month, CMBAA hosted a trivia night fundraiser to benefit the Central Missouri Humane Society. Coupled with the wine tasting fundraiser held in the fall, the organization has raised over $2,000 for the Humane Society this academic year. To expand upon our philanthropic initiatives, CMBAA will also be sponsoring a table for Girls on the Run on April 26th in Columbia.
For upcoming social events, CMBAA will be hosting a few socials and happy hours for members to build community and expand networks. Our formal event, “MBA Prom,” will be held on April 27th. This event is a celebration of a year’s hard work and offers another opportunity for community-building within the organization and Crosby MBA program as a whole.
Lastly, CMBAA members recently elected the 2018 – 2019 Executive board.
Congratulations to the following individuals:
- James Wilkinson, President
- Jack Blevins, VP of Philanthropy
- Tyler Hanley, VP of Finance
- Rebecca Hayes, VP of Member Engagement
- Shraddha Hegde, VP of Communications
The current and future executive boards will hold a transition event in two weeks to ensure a seamless and successful transfer of leadership. This event will either be held in Columbia or St. Louis. We are very excited for what the future holds for CMBAA!
